Public Health-Madison and Dane County (PHMDC) has served a central role in the outreach efforts for HIV testing and education. One pillar of the response has been data and epidemiology. Establishing and sustaining robust HIV prevention efforts has provided the county with ongoing capacity to reach hard to reach individuals at high-risk for HIV.
PHMDC received emergency response funding for this work through the University of Wisconsin - Madison Ryan White Sub-Recipient Part C. The purpose of this grant is to ‘support HIV outreach and testing within the community for hard to reach and high risk individuals in the community.’ To achieve this purpose, PHMDC has relied on the project funded HIV Outreach Specialist position for extensive tabling and testing at community events. As a result of the need for continued HIV outreach support, the budget has an overage in the supplies categories and an underage of salaries due to shifts in estimates.
A request to transfer funds within the UW Ryan White Sub-Recipient Part C grant will address the grant objective of conducting HIV outreach.
Transfers:
? UW HIV Ryan White: Transfer a total of 5,463.21; $5,117.08 from Fringe and $346.13 from Mileage as follows: transfer $3,071.97 from Fringe to Salaries; transfer 2,045.11 from Fringe to Salaries and $346.13 from Mileage to Program Supplies.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Health for Madison and Dane County, on behalf of Public Health-Madison and Dane County, authorizes the transfer of the amounts of the University of Wisconsin Ryan White Sub-Recipient Part C grant as outlined, for the purpose of sustaining HIV Outreach efforts.
