There were no questions regarding the Board report. Further comments from Mr. Hess included:
· A memorial service was held at Monona Terrace for those who passed away in the Med Flight helicopter crash recently. The families wanted the event at MT because they could include a Med Flight helicopter flyover in tribute to those who died. Monona Terrace had also booked a 30-year anniversary celebration for Hospice Care, and staff felt the events could co-exist. However, Hospice chose to move the event to the Mariott Hotel in Middleton out of respect to those who died and the mourners attending the service. Monona Terrace and Monona Catering worked cooperatively to provide every possible assistance to Hospice, including transporting the food that had already been purchased to the Hospice facility to be distributed to their patients. Monona Terrace A/V staff worked to find vendors to help stage the Hospice “off Broadway” show at the Marriott, and sent three stagehands to work the event.
