Fiscal Note
The proposed resolution creates a new hourly classification of Fire/ EMS Apprentice in Compensation Group 17, Range 00 with a pay rate of $17.50 per hour. Positions in this classification will be part of the City of Madison Firefighter/ EMT Development Program. Legistar file #82225 being introduced on March 5, 2024, amends the 2024 adopted operating budget for the Fire Department to accept a grant from the University of Wisconsin which will fund four interns for this program. No appropriation is required to create the classification.
