I hereby submit, for your consideration and approval, the following resident committee appointments for introduction and adoption under suspension of the rules.

 

 

MADISON’S CENTRAL BUSINESS IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT (BID) BOARD

 

Note: Per the Business Improvement District [BID] Operating Plan as approved by the Common Council, “Wisconsin Statutes section 66.1109(3) (a) requires that the Board be composed of at least five members and that a majority of the Board members shall either own or occupy real property in the District.  If the actual property or business owner is an entity, that entity shall designate a representative to act on its behalf.”

 

STACEY M. SCANNELL (11th A.D.) - appoint to a three-year term to the position of State Street Area Property Owner succeeding Grant J. Frautschi. Stacey Scannell is the owner of The Soap Opera, located at 319 State Street. She previously served on this board and helped create Madison’s Night Market.

TERM EXPIRES: 1-18-2027

 

JANET (ANGELA) TITUS (6th A.D.) - appoint to a three-year term to the position of Capitol Square Area - Commercial Property or Business Owner succeeding Victor Villacrez. Angela Titus is the assistant deputy director and chief program officer at the Wisconsin Historical Society.

TERM EXPIRES: 1-18-2027

 

JOSHUA D. BERKSON (6th A.D.) - appoint to the remainder of a three-year term to the position of King Street Area - Commercial Property or Business Owner succeeding Francesca Hong. Joshua Berkson is a restaurateur and founder & CEO of Rule No. 1 Hospitality, Inc. whose restaurants include Lucille (located at 101 King Street), Merchant and Todofresco. He is also the founder of Cook It Forward - working to address food insecurity in Madison.
