Fiscal Note
The proposed resolution approves revised plans and specifications for the Lowell Street construction project (#14078) at an estimated cost of $1,027,793, including $49,292.88 in assessments and deletes and replaces the original plans and specifications were adopted via RES-23-00713 (Legistar #81409). The estimated cost to the City is $978,500.12. Funding is available in Munis #14078. No additional appropriation is required.

The Board of Public Works and the City Engineer having made reports of all proceedings in relation to the improvement of Revised Plans and Specifications for Lowell Street pursuant to a resolution of the Common Council, RES-23-00713, ID No. 81409, adopted on 1/23/2024, which resolution was adopted thereto, and the provisions of the Madison General Ordinances and the Wisconsin Statutes in such case made and provided, and the Common Council being fully advised.
The design of the water main has changed to a full remove and replace since the original plans and specifications were created after the plans and specifications were adopted by the City of Madison Common Council.
BE IT RESOLVED:
1. That the original plans and specifications approved under RES-23-00713, ID No. 81409 be deleted and replaced with the plans and specifications to be let.
2. That the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to enter into agreements and revised agreements with utilities companies for cost sharing of the project.
