UW-Madison is entering the 10^th year of the UW Urban Canid project and have submitted a request to continue the project in Madison Parks. The project will focus on urban red fox and coyotes.  There are nominal research studies examining urban red fox in North America. The Board of Park Commissioners will receive an informational report of 2023 study findings.  UW-Madison requests approval to continue trapping in select Madison Park properties, under the condition of communicating with designated staff prior to commencing any such activity.
