Fiscal Note

The proposed resolution adopts a labor agreement between the City and the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees, Moving Picture Technicians, Artists, and Allied Crafts of the United States, its Territories and Canada (IATSE). The term of the agreement is May 2, 2023 to December 31, 2024. The agreement includes a 6.5% wage increase effective May 14, 2023 and a 4.0% increase effective January 1, 2024. Additionally, if the City agrees to a higher total compensation increase for General Municipal Employees during the term of the agreement, IATSE staff are to receive the same percentage increase. Additional costs from the agreement are expected to be $16,000 in 2023 and $64,000 in 2024. The majority of wage costs for IATSE staff are funded by Monona Terrace from its hourly wage budget.

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Labor Agreement between the City of Madison and the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees, Moving Picture Technicians, Artists, and Allied Crafts of the United States, its Territories and Canada (IATSE) for the period May 2, 2023 through December 31, 2024, is hereby adopted in its entirety and confirmed in all respects and the Mayor and Clerk are authorized to sign the agreement.
