Body
WHEREAS, Alder Erik Paulson was appointed to the Madison Common Council on May 25, 2022; and

WHEREAS, Alder Paulson served on the Economic Development Committee; Plan Commission; Transportation Policy & Planning Board; and Task Force on Farmland Preservation; and

WHEREAS, Alder Paulson was thankful to see the City create a fulltime role of Emergency Management Coordinator and is looking forward to seeing this vital role expand to a team; and

WHEREAS, Alder Paulson worked to make it easier and more affordable to live in Madison and was happy to sponsor or support a variety of ordinances and funding to make it easier to add sorely needed housing,
WHEREAS, Alder Paulson was proud to have been a lead sponsor of a new fund for accessible taxi cabs in Madison and notes that access to transportation is an important civil rights issue; and

WHEREAS, Alder Paulson worked to be a strong advocate for traffic and pedestrian safety issues in District 3 and across the City of Madison and looks forward to seeing Safe Streets Madison projects reach construction later this year and next; and

WHEREAS, Alder Paulson was proud to have been of the ordinance change and subsequent successful referendum to stagger alder terms, which passed by 66 points and will help provide stability to future Councils; and

WHEREAS, Alder Paulson worked hard to meet the level of communication and service that voters in District 3 expected when they elected Alder Lindsay Lemmer and hopes that he lived up to her example; and

WHEREAS, Alder Paulson, through his hard work and dedication to his alder duties, has faithfully and with honor served his constituents and the City of Madison;
