James P. Roberts is the author of 15 books in the fields of science fiction & fantasy, poetry, literary biography and baseball history. His most recent poetry collection, One Hundred Breaths, was selected as the winner of the 2020 Portage Press Poetry Book Prize and was published by Portage Press in June of 2020. He is the current South-Central Region Vice-President of the Wisconsin Fellowship of Poets and since 2010 has organized and hosted the annual (except for 2021) Winter Festival of Poetry, an eight-week long series of poetry readings held on Sunday afternoons from mid-January to mid-March. James lives in Madison, Wisconsin where he haunts Little Free Libraries and has recently developed a passion for playing disc golf.
