Adoption of Far West Park Development Plans, including Acacia Ridge, Sunshine Ridge, and Old Timber Parks

Madison Parks Division has led a master planning effort for three of our far west undeveloped parks, including Acacia Ridge,Sunshine Ridge, and Old Timber Parks. The names of these parks were formally adopted by the Long-Range Planning Subcommittee and Board of Park Commissioners in 2022 (Leg File #72218). Parks staff held two public meetings, and conducted a community survey from the surrounding (and rapidly growing) neighborhood regarding the specific amenities to be located in these undeveloped parks and in the far west planning area as a whole. Staff will provide an update and is seeking input and adoption from Board of Park Commissioners on the proposed design for the park
This plan, adopted by the Board of Park Commissioners, shall guide development of these Far West Side Parks and conforms to the City of Madison Adopted Park Master Plan Policy.
