Overview of the Park Development Plan Process

Body (use as much space as needed): The Parks Division strives to have Development Plans in place for all parks. However due to the number of parks, rapid growth and resource constraints, such documents do not exist or have not been recently updated for many park properties. In an attempt to address this short coming, Parks Planning and Development has created a new planning process which we will be applying to most mini and neighborhood parks going forward.
The process will involve completing one page “Park Development Plans” for all neighborhood and mini parks located with the Planning Divisions “Area Plans”. The first two area plans are underway, West and Northeast. Staff will share the details on the process and welcome feedback from the Commissioners.
