Body

Public Health - Madison and Dane County (PHMDC) proposes accepting additional funds from University of Wisconsin Board of Regents, recipient of a Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program Part C grant from the Health Resources and Service Administration of the Department of Health and Human Services. These are funds that the University of Wisconsin distributes to sub-recipients within the grant service area and are used to enhance HIV community engagement, outreach and testing capacity to prevent the spread of HIV. The primary purpose of Ryan White funds is to provide HIV education, rapid community testing and linkage to care for people living with HIV.

The Board of Health previously approved initial funding in the amount of $37,278.52 through Common Council Resolution file #67855 and County Board resolutions 2021 RES-207. PHMDC has received an additional $58,494.88‬ in funding to total $95,773.40 for the 2022-2023 grant term,

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Health for Madison on behalf of Public Health-Madison and Dane County authorizes the Director of Public Health, or their designee, to accept $95,7773.40 from the Board of Regents of the University of Wisconsin System for the purposes outlined above.
