WHEREAS, in September 1981, Pat began working for the City of Madison as an hourly Page at the Madison Public Library, later working for City Finance; and,

WHEREAS, for over 31 years, Pat has found her passion for serving the public as a vital member of the Madison Parks’ team as Administrative Assistant 1 specializing in Purchasing and Accounts Receivable; and,

WHEREAS, throughout her career, Pat worked diligently behind the scenes to support the needs of the Parks Division, learning and training staff on purchasing procedures; managing the details of contracts/accounts payable, serving as a point of contact for Workers Compensation, incidents and accidents; supporting budgeting processes; and overall providing unmatched institutional subject matter expertise; and,

WHEREAS, Pat’s ability to onboard and support staff and ensure that work was completed timely and in accordance with prescribed guidelines and various other policies will be greatly missed; and,

WHEREAS, throughout her service, Pat was always a steady presence and resource for her colleagues as a detail-oriented problem-solver who took a great deal of pride in her work; and,

WHEREAS, Pat has consistently covered a plethora of duties beyond her assigned position over the years; and,

WHEREAS, Pat has consistently demonstrated a high-level of professionalism in working through challenging situations with tight deadlines; and,

WHEREAS, Pat has been an excellent and devoted steward of the public’s resources in working to ensure an effective and efficient allocation of those resources to meet the community’s needs; and,
