Body

WHEREAS, the Common Council of the City of Madison established the Cedar Street Assessment District - 2021 (hereinafter “the District”) on March 3, 2020 (RES-20-00170, Legistar File No. 59553) in accordance with Section 66.0701 of the Wisconsin State Statutes and Section 4.09 of the Madison General Ordinances; and,

WHEREAS, the Common Council approved the plans, specifications and schedule of assessments for the District on October 20, 2020, (RES-20-00711, Legistar File No. 62424); and,

WHEREAS, the work being complete, the final costs for the improvements were higher than preliminary estimates; and,

WHEREAS, due to the higher actual costs, it is necessary to amend the Final Schedule of Assessments.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that pursuant to Section 4.09(9) of the Madison General Ordinances, the Common Council hereby determines that, due to the increase in actual construction costs from the estimated costs, it is necessary to amend the Final Schedule of Assessments.
