The proposed resolution approves and addendum to 6502 Milwaukee St and 6501 Town Center Dr, Contract No. 8403. The developer and City have mutually agreed to revise plans and specifications for public improvements. The project is funded by a private contract. No City Funds required.

WHEREAS, on September 24, 2019, the developer, PQ Investment, LLC, hereinafter the “Developer” had entered into a Contract For the Construction of Public Improvements that will be Accepted by the City of Madison hereinafter the “Contract” with the City of Madison, and;

WHEREAS, Metro Transit and Traffic Engineering have recently established an internal policy to only use bus pullouts in unique circumstances.

WHEREAS, the Developer and the City have since mutually agreed to remove the proposed bus pullout on the north side of Milwaukee Street west of Sprecher Road from the plans and replace it with an in-lane stop and ten-foot concrete boarding pad surface, installed between the existing curb and sidewalk. The location shall be roughly 90’ - 100’ west of the crosswalk and curb ramp on Milwaukee Street on the west side of Sprecher Road.


NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVE:

1. That the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to execute Addendum No. 1 to 6502 Milwaukee St. and 6501 Town Center Dr, Contract No. 8403, with PQ Investment, LLC.

2. That revised plans and specifications for the public improvements necessary to serve this project are hereby approved.

3. That the developer is authorized to construct the public improvements in accordance with the terms of the Contract For the Construction of Public Improvements That Will be Accepted by the City of Madison at the sole cost of the developer.
