Fiscal Note

The proposed resolution recreates a new, vacant 1.0 FTE position included in the 2022 Common Council Office’s operating budget. The position is referred to as a Community Engagement Specialist in the budget document. Human Resource’s study of the position has determined the appropriate classification is Public Information Officer 1 in CG 18, Range 8. The 2022 adopted budget includes funding for the position for the full year. Any increase in base salary due to the change in classification can be absorbed with the Council’s existing budget. No appropriation is required.
