[The proposed resolution authorizes the Mayor and City Clerk to enter into a contract for Purchase of Services (Architect) with Dimension IV - Madison, LLC to provide professional architectural and engineering consultant design services and construction administrative services for the new shelter facility to be developed at 1902 Bartillon Drive, at an estimated cost of $1,059,262. Funding is available in the City’s 2022 Adopted Capital Budget for Bartillon Shelter (Munis # 13344 Contract #9207).

Body
WHEREAS, elected officials serving both the City of Madison and Dane County have committed to developing a shelter facility to primarily serve male identifying persons in Dane County who experience homelessness, to replace previously used venues and temporary accommodations established for that purpose since the emergence of the COVID-19 pandemic; and,

WHEREAS the Madison Common Council and Dane County Board have authorized funding in their respective Capital Budgets for this shelter, pending the preparation of more developed cost estimates; and,

WHEREAS the City’s Engineering Division requires consulting services in order to complete the Pre-Design, Schematic Design, Design Development, Construction Documentation, Bidding, Construction Administration, and Warranty phases of projects the scale of this one; and,

WHEREAS, on April 19, 2022, the Common Council adopted RES-22-00295 (Legistar File # 70582 ...
