Title

Request from DNR Snapshot Wisconsin Volunteer, Hope Nye, to Place One Trail Camera in Warner Park For Purposes of Monitoring and Studying Wildlife Populations

Body

Snapshot Wisconsin is a partnership to monitor wildlife year-round using a statewide network of trail cameras. The project provides data needed for wildlife management decision support. It is also a unique opportunity for individuals, families and students to get involved in monitoring the state’s valuable natural resources.  Parks Division received a request from volunteer working with DNR's Snapshot Wisconsin citizen science program to set up a wildlife trail camera in Block DANE047, which includes Warner Park. Encrypted DNR wildlife camera will be checked on it every 1-3 months to switch batteries/SD cards, then upload the pictures to a secure DNR website for their statewide wildlife data collection.
