The proposed resolution authorizes the Mayor and City Clerk to enter into a contract for Purchase of Services (Architect) with Engberg Anderson Architects, Inc. to provide professional architectural and engineering consultant design services and construction administrative services for the expansion of the existing Warner Park Community Recreation Center building located at 1625 Northport Drive at an estimated cost of $353,155. Funding is available in the 2022 Adopted Budget for Warner Park Community Recreation Center (Munis # 17196 Contract #9170).

WHEREAS the 2022 Capital Budget includes funding for the Warner Park Community Recreation Center Expansion; and,

WHEREAS the Engineering Division requires consulting services in order to complete the Pre-Design, Schematic Design, Design Development, Construction Documentation, Bidding, Construction Administration, and Warranty phases of the project; and,

WHEREAS, Engberg Anderson Architects, Inc. has been selected through a “Request for Proposal” process, and is the final selection candidate in accordance with MGO Section 4.26 of Madison General Ordinances and in accordance with Administrative Procedure Memorandum No. 3-3, “Retaining Architect, Professional Engineers, Designers and Land Surveyors for Consultant Service;” and,

WHEREAS, an evaluation team, administered by the Purchasing Division and consisting of relevant Madison Parks and Engineering staff, and a community stakeholder representative, conducted a detailed evaluation, and scored and ranked each of the proposals using criteria including cost, skill, past perf...
