DRAFTER’S ANALYSIS: This ordinance amendment changes the First Settlement period of significance from 1850-1920 to 1850-1930.

The Common Council of the City of Madison do hereby ordain as follows:
1. Subsection (3) entitled “Historic Resources in the First Settlement Historic District” of Section 41.26 entitled “First Settlement Historic District” of the Madison General Ordinances is amended as follows:
“(3) Historic Resources in the First Settlement Historic District.
(1a) Landmarks.
(2b) Landmark sites.
(3c) Properties constructed during the period of significance, 1850-19201930.”
