Fiscal Note
As stated in the Employment Agreement between the City of Madison and Maribeth L. Witzel-Behl, the City Clerk’s salary will be based on a total annualized rate of $127,624 effective September 12, 2021. The City Clerk is approved and funded in the 2021 Adopted Operating Budget. Annual salary adjustments may be made during the term of the agreement at the Mayor’s discretion, subject to Common Council approval.

Body
WHEREAS, Mayor Rhodes-Conway has appointed Maribeth L. Witzel-Behl to the position of City Clerk and has recommended to the Common Council that her appointment be confirmed; and
WHEREAS, the parties have reached an accord on the terms and conditions of an Employment Agreement between the City and Ms. Witzel-Behl,
NOW THEREFORE, be resolved that Ms. Witzel-Behl appointment to the position of City Clerk is hereby confirmed, and the Mayor and the City Clerk’s office are authorized to execute an Employment Agreement between the City and Ms. Witzel-Behl.
