I hereby submit, for your consideration and approval, the following resident committee appointments.

 

 

AFFIRMATIVE ACTION COMMISSION

 

VIRGINIA V. LEE (6th A.D.) - appoint to the remainder of a three-year term to the position of Adult City Resident succeeding Awais M. Khaleel. Virginia Lee is a housing specialist with Reach Dane. She is also the director of the Bonner Leaders Program at Edgewood College.

TERM EXPIRES: 4-19-2022

 

 

COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT COMMITTEE

 

ANGELA K. JONES (7th A.D.) - appoint to the remainder of a three-year term to the position of Minority Representative succeeding Rachel E. Jones. Angela Jones is the community impact director for United Way of Dane County (UWDC). She has been with United Way for 25-plus years (16 years at UWDC) and has been instrumental in starting several initiatives.

HOUSING STRATEGY COMMITTEE

 

BELINDA J. THOMAS (9th A.D.) - appoint to the remainder of a three-year term to the position of Member succeeding Martha Cranley. Belinda Thomas is the housing program manager at The Road Home Dane County. She has been involved with the Homeless Services Consortium and various other housing committee.

MADISON AREA TRANSPORTATION PLANNING BOARD (MPO)

 

TOM LYNCH, Director of Transportation - reappoint to a two-year term to the position of Metro Transit Representative. First appointed 5-14-2019.

MARGARET M. BERGAMINI (2nd A.D.) - reappoint to a two-year term to the position of Transportation-Related Member. First appointed 9-3-2019.

MADISON FOOD POLICY COUNCIL

 

LAURA G. SCANDURRA (10th A.D.) - appoint to the remainder of a three-year term to the position of Member. Laura Scandurra is a retired foreign service officer. She worked with the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) and the Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection (DATCP). She succeeds Devika Suri who assumed the Higher Education Food Systems Expert position.

MADISON PUBLIC LIBRARY BOARD

 

JOLYNNE M. ROORDA (10th A.D.) - reappoint to a three-year term to the position of Adult City Resident. First appointed 12-1-2020.

ALYSSA C. KENNEY (17th A.D.) - reappoint to a three-year term to the position of Adult City Resident. First appointed 11-1-2016.

KATHLEEN L. SPENCER (19th A.D.) - reappoint to a three-year term to the position of Adult City Resident. First appointed 3-5-2019.

ANTHONY S. FERNANDEZ (11th A.D.) - appoint to the remainder of a three-year term to the position of Adult City Resident succeeding Eric Sundquist. Anthony (Tony) Fernandez is a civil engineer who worked with the City of Madison’s Engineering Division for 16 years before retiring in 2016. He has volunteered with several organizations including Operation Fresh Start and MadisonBikes.

SISTER CITY COLLABORATION COMMITTEE

 

LAMIN DRAMMEH (17th A.D.) - appoint to the remainder of a three-year term to the position of Sister City Representative succeeding Musa Jallow. Lamin Drammeh serves on the board of the Madison-Kanifing Sister City Committee.

CHRISTOPHER T. MCCAHILL (6th A.D.) - reappoint to a three-year term to the position of Adult City Resident. First appointed 6-18-2019.

BALTAZAR DE ANDA SANTANA (1st A.D.) - reappoint to a three-year term to the position of Adult City Resident. First appointed 9-3-2019.

WINN S. COLLINS (11th A.D.) - reappoint to a three-year term to the position of Adult City Resident. First appointed 9-3-2013.

CRAIG E. BROWN (5th A.D.) - appoint to the remainder of a three-year term to the position of Second Alternate succeeding Allie Berenyi who assumed an Adult City Resident position. Craig Brown is a designer/contractor and owner of Scenic Interiors, LLC. He recently served on the City’s Building Code, Fire Code, Conveyance Code and Licensing Appeals Board.
