Authorizing acceptance and appropriation to the 2021 Operating Budget $30,400 in funds raised by Madison Public Library Foundation for the Hawthorne Library renovations.
Body
WHEREAS, Madsion Public Library negotiated a new lease for Hawthorne Library which includes an improvements allowance from the landlord to replace flooring, vinyl base, painting of interior walls and repairs to other permanent fixtures. Madison Public Library identified additional renovation needs not approved by the landlord for use of the allowance funds; and,
WHEREAS, Madison Public Library Foundation has generously supported Madison Public Library facilty renovations, the Foundation campaigned to raise $30,400 in funds for the additional renovation needs at Hawthorne Library; and,
WHEREAS, Madison Public Library is grateful to the Foundation for their continued support, and to the generous donors: Miriam Simmons, Phil and Rhonda Plourd and New Year Investments.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the 2021 Madison Public Library Operating Budget is amended to appropriate $30,400; and,
BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED, that Madison Public Library is authorized to create the necessary 2021 Operating Budget amendment to add the appropriation of donation funds.
