Authorizing acceptance and appropriation to the 2021 Operating Budget a donation from Pinney Friends of $15,000 for an artist in residence program.
Body
WHEREAS, the Madison Public Library Pinney branch received support in the form of donations raised by the Friends of Pinney branch library; and,
WHEREAS, the Friends of Pinney library supports youth and adult programs, community programs and collection materials purchases; and,
WHEREAS, 2020 was a difficult year, at best, for the Friends of Pinney Library to continue their fundraising efforts; and,
WHEREAS, Madison Public Library is grateful for the support it receives from the Friends of Pinney Library; and,
WHEREAS, the Friends of Pinney Library have presented Madison Public Library with a greatly appreciated gift of $15,000 for an artist in residence program.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the 2021 Madison Public Library Operating Budget is amended to appropriate $15,000; and,
BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED, that Madison Public Library is authorized to create the necessary 2021 Operating Budget amendment to add the appropriation of donation funds.
