This resolution authorizes a two-year agreement with Madison Log Rolling LLC at Wingra Park. This agreement may be renewed for one additional two-year period and one final one-year period. The agreement sets forth the terms and conditions upon which the City will allow Madison Log Rolling LLC to use portions of Wingra Park and the adjacent Lake Wingra lake bed for organizing and teaching log rolling. In addition to a security deposit, Madison Log Rolling LLC will pay the City an anticipated fee of $1,955 over the term of the agreement. These revenues will be recognized in the Parks Division Operating Budget as follow: $350 in 2021, $365 in 2022, $380 in 2023, $410 in 2024, and $450 in 2025.

Body
WHEREAS, the Madison Log Rolling LLC is a limited liability partnership, formed in 2010 for the purposes of organizing and teaching log rolling and preserving the history of Wisconsin logging by growing the sport of log rolling in the greater Madison community; and,

WHEREAS, the Madison Log Rolling LLC uses the City’s Park land at Wingra Park as its home for launching classes and is in need of on-site equipment storage to assist its operations; and,

WHEREAS, the City and the Madison Log Rolling LLC entered into the Wingra Park Log Rolling Use Agreement (2017-2021) in 2018, which agreement will expire on April 30, 2021; and,

WHEREAS, the City can continue to accommodate the Madison Log Rolling LLC and, based upon Madison Log Rolling, LLC.’s operations at Wingra Park under the existing agreement, the Parks Division is agreeable to allowing the Madison Log Rolling LLC to continue to use space in Wingra Park for its operations, subject to the terms and conditions of this Agreement.
