Board of Health-Madison & Dane County Resolution #2020-22 Authorization of Budget Transfer of Overdose Data to Action Grant Funds

Public Health-Madison and Dane County (PHMDC) was previously awarded the Overdose Data to Action (OD2A) Grant from the Wisconsin Department of Health Services (DHS) to strengthen and enhance the capacity of communities to prevent morbidity and mortality associated with opioid overdoses. Due to the challenges introduced by COVID-19, it is being proposed to move a portion of the grant funding from mileage, personnel, and office supplies to conference/training, computer hardware/supplies, computer software/supplies, and work supplies.
The transfer of funding within the OD2A grant will support the following grant objectives:
• Support the ability to collect, analyze, and apply data
• Enhance linkages to care
• Build partnerships with public safety and first responders
• Empower individuals to make safer choices, and
• Support innovative prevention approaches
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Health for Madison and Dane County, on behalf of Public Health-Madison and Dane County, authorizes the transfer of the amounts of Overdose Data to Action (OD2A) Grant as outlined below, for the purpose of supporting the grant objectives.
