I hereby submit, for your consideration and approval, the following resident committee appointments.


ALCOHOL LICENSE REVIEW COMMITTEE

KAREN L. REECE (14th A.D.) - appoint to the remainder of a three-year term to the position of Adult City Resident. Ms. Reece serves as the vice president of research and education for the Nehemiah Community Development Corporation. She previously served on the City’s Task Force on Equity in Music & Entertainment. Ms. Reece succeeds Thomas A. Landgraf.
TERM EXPIRES: 4-18-2023


CAPITAL AREA REGIONAL PLANNING COMMISSION

NICHOLAS ZAVOS (13th A.D.) - appoint to the remainder of a three-year term to the position of Mayor’s Appointee. Mr. Zavos is an attorney and served as a deputy mayor for eight years under Mayor Paul Soglin. He succeeds Lauren Cnare.
TERM EXPIRES: 4-1-2023


EARLY CHILDHOOD CARE AND EDUCATION COMMITTEE

(LISA) ANNA M. BERRY (1st A.D.) - appoint to the remainder of a three-year term to the position of Specialist in Child Care Field. Ms. Berry is a lead teacher and the diversity & equity specialist at Woodland Montessori School. She succeeds Christine Coke.

HOUSING STRATEGY COMMITTEE

BRENDA K. KONKEL (2nd A.D.) - appoint to the remainder of a three-year term to the position of Resident Member. Ms. Konkel is the executive director of Madison Area Care for the Homeless OneHealth. She is the former executive director of the Tenant Resource Center, where she served for 23 years; and is a former alder, having served on the City’s Common Council from 2001-2009. Ms. Konkel succeeds Sharon L. McCabe.
