Title

Authorizing the City to execute a noncompetitive purchase agreement for six (6) auto lubrication systems and installation to Air Plus LLC.

Body

WHEREAS, Air Plus LLC installs auto lubrication equipment and is a Lincoln lubrication distributor, whose dealership territory covers the state of Wisconsin;

WHEREAS, Fleet Service’s standardization plan, to save costs associated with installation, maintenance, training, tooling, inventory and diagnostics, includes systems such as auto lubrication systems;

WHEREAS, Fleet Service has worked with Air Plus LLC for many years, and historically the cost to install this equipment has been included in the cost of the purchased asset;

WHEREAS, Fleet Service is seeking non-competitive selection to avoid additional dealer markup, estimated at $2,000.00 per unit, when purchasing this equipment installed as a dealer option;  and

WHEREAS, MGO 4.26 requires Common Council approval of purchases of $50,000 or more if the vendor was not selected through a competitive selection process, and the reasons for selecting this vendor are set forth above and in the attached Noncompetitive Selection Request Form;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized to execute a noncompetitive purchase, for a one year term, with option for four additional one year renewals, for auto lubrication systems and installation, and

IT IS FUTHER RESOLVED, that the Fleet Superintendent (Mahanth Joishy) is authorized to execute up to four (4) additional one year renewals of the sole source, on the same terms and conditions as the original contract.
