Fiscal Note

This resolution proposes accepting CPR/AED equipment from Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation, Inc. Firehouse Subs Public Safety has procured the equipment for delivery to the Madison Fire Department. Ongoing expenses related to the use of this piece of equipment are minimal and can be absorbed by the Fire Department operating budget. There is no impact on General Fund appropriations.

Approving the acceptance of CPR/AED Training Equipment (valued at $5,017.43) from Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation, Inc.

 

Body

The Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation, Inc. provides grant funding to first responders groups in communities where Firehouse Subs restaurants are located, and Madison, Wisconsin is one of those communities.

 

WHEREAS, the Madison Fire Department requested a Resusci Anne, SimPad and Shock Link System to be used in CPR/AED training to educate personnel and thereby increasing the survival from cardiac arrest; and

 

WHEREAS, the Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation, Inc. (“Firehouse Subs”) has agreed to fully fund this request for the CPR/AED equipment totaling $5,017.43; and

 

WHEREAS, the Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation, Inc. will purchase the equipment and have it shipped to the Fire Department; and

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Common Council approves the acceptance of the CPR/AED equipment from Firehouse Subs valued at $5,017,43; and

 

BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED, that the Common Council expresses sincere appreciation for the generous gift from the Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation.
