Fiscal Note

The proposed resolution approves the acceptance of a contract with the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection for the tank program which consists of plan review and approval of tank systems. The 2020 Fire Department Operating Budget includes revenue of $29,000 in anticipation of this contract (Service-Fire Operations, Major-Intergov Revenue). However due to an administrative change at the state level, the number of tanks assigned to City inspection has been reduced roughly in half, and projected revenue is anticipated to be approximately $18,000. The revenue loss from this contract will reflected in the Fire Department's 2nd Quarter projection.
