Fiscal Note

The proposed resolution authorizes awarding Public Works Contract 8543 for the Rimrock Interceptor - Industrial Drive Extension at a total cost of $836,150 including contingency. The City has entered into an agreement with the City of Monona (RES-16-00612) to pay 70% of the project costs. Legislative File 59718, introduced on 3/3/20 and adopted by the Finance Committee on 3/9/20, would increase the Municipal Capital Participation funding by $130,000 to fully accommodate the City of Monona’s share of project costs. Sufficient budget authority for the City’s share of the proposed contract is available in MUNIS account 11446-83-200. No additional City appropriation is required.

BE IT RESOLVED, that the following low bids for miscellaneous improvements be accepted and that the Mayor and City Clerk be and are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with the low bidder contained herein, subject to the Contractor's compliance with Section 39.02 of the Madison General Ordinances concerning compliance with the Affirmative Action provisions and subject to the Contractor's compliance with Section 33.07 of the Madison General Ordinances regarding Best Value Contracting:

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the funds be encumbered to cover the cost of the projects contained herein.
