Fiscal Note

The proposed resolution authorizes awarding Public Works Contract 8500 for the Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. Sidewalk Assessment District - 2020 at a total cost of $1,443,670 including contingency. Legislative File 59139, adopted by the Common Council on February 4, 2020, transferred $510,000 of existing GO Borrowing to MUNIS account 11164-402-170, increasing the funding in that project to $1,413,000. Sufficient budget authority for the proposed contract is included in the following MUNIS accounts. No additional City appropriation is required.

BE IT RESOLVED, that the following low bids for miscellaneous improvements be accepted and that the Mayor and City Clerk be and are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with the low bidder contained herein, subject to the Contractor's compliance with Section 39.02 of the Madison General Ordinances concerning compliance with the Affirmative Action provisions and subject to the Contractor's compliance with Section 33.07 of the Madison General Ordinances regarding Best Value Contracting:

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the funds be encumbered to cover the cost of the projects contained herein.
