Fiscal Note
The proposed resolution approves a purchase of services contract for architectural/engineering design services and construction administration services for a new park shelter in Door Creek Park on Littlemore Drive. The cost of this agreement is $155,000, which is budgeted within the 2020 Adopted Capital Budget for Engineering - Facilities Management, Park Facility Improvements. In 2020, $975,000 of GF GO Borrowing is budgeted within the program for these costs. No additional City appropriation is required for this project.

Body
WHEREAS the 2020 Capital Budget includes funding for architectural and engineering consultant design, bidding, and construction administration services; and,
WHEREAS Aro Eberle Architects has been selected through a “Request for Proposal” process, and is the final selected candidate in accordance with MGO Section 4.26 of Madison General Ordinances; and,
WHEREAS the scope of this project shall include architectural/engineering services for the Door Creek Park Shelter that will achieve at a minimum LEED Certification-Silver per Madison Legislative File #07453 following the U.S. Green Building Council’s LEED for New Construction and Major Renovations (LEED-NC v. 3) Rating System; and,
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Common Council hereby authorizes the Mayor and City Clerk to enter into a contract for Purchase of Services (Architect) in a form to be approved by the City Attorney, with Aro Eberle Architects to provide professional architectural/engineering design services and construction administration services for the Door Creek Park Shelter.
