Fiscal Note
As stated in the Employment Agreement between the City of Madison and Connie R. Thompson, the Monona Terrace Community and Convention Center director’s salary will be based on a total annualized rate of $135,000, effective March 17, 2020. The Director of Monona Terrace Community and Convention Center position is approved and funded in the 2020 Adopted Operating Budget. Annual salary adjustments may be made during the term of the agreement at the Mayor’s discretion, subject to Common Council approval.

WHEREAS, Mayor Rhodes-Conway has appointed Connie R. Thompson to the position of Monona Terrace Director and has recommended to the Common Council that her appointment be confirmed; and
WHEREAS, the parties have reached an accord on the terms and conditions of an Employment Agreement between the City and Ms. Thompson,
NOW THEREFORE, be resolved that Ms. Thompson's appointment to the position of Monona Terrace Director is hereby confirmed, and the Mayor and the City Clerk’s office are authorized to execute an Employment Agreement between the City and Ms. Thompson.
