Modification of prior Common Council Proceedings of December 3, 2019 (Legistar File No. 56836, 2nd Substitute creating Section 23.62 and amending Section 1.08(3)(a) of the Madison General Ordinances to regulate the distribution of plastic straws and plastic stir sticks in the City of Madison and establish a bail deposit for violation thereof).

Body

The Office of the City Attorney recommends a modification to the prior Common Council proceedings due to File No. 56836 incorrectly reflecting a Mayoral approval date of 12/6/2019 leading to it being subsquently published on 12/12/2019 when, if fact, the Common Council re-referred the Ordinance to the Disability Rights Commission on 12/3/2019.

 

Pursuant to Sec. 2.04(1)(g), MGO, it is MOVED that the Proceedings of December 3, 2019 be modified to state that Legistar File No. 56836 was moved by Alder Bidar, seconded by Alder Verveer to re-refer to the DISABILITY RIGHTS COMMISSION.
