Title
SUBSTITUTE. Amending Section 11.06(4)(g) of the Madison General Ordinances to allow a license transfer with the approval of the Transportation Commission.
Body
DRAFTER'S ANALYSIS: The current public passenger vehicle ordinance prohibits a company from transferring a license to new owners in Sec. 11.06(4)(g). It is expected that this amendment would allow public passenger vehicle companies to request an exception to transfer a license if they are restructuring the legal ownership of their company but maintaining substantially similar service and operations in a way that is not contrary to the public interest.
