Fiscal Note
The resolution amends the adopted 2020 Engineering-Major Streets and Engineering-Bicycle and Pedestrian Capital Budgets by authorizing a net-neutral transfer of existing budget authority across major projects within the Engineering-Major Streets and Engineering-Bicycle and Pedestrian Capital Budgets. $1.3m of GO borrowing authority will be transferred from the Cottage Grove Road (I39 to Sprecher) project to the Gammon Road project and South and West Towne Path Phase 1 projects. The Cottage Grove Road project as adopted has a 2020 capital budget of $2.87m, including $1.5m in GO Borrowing authority.

WHEREAS, The City of Madison in conjunction with the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) have proposed projects to reconstruct Cottage Grove Road and reconstruct Gammon Road and construct Phase 1 West Towne Path; and
WHEREAS, The City of Madison Common Council adopted RES-19-00644 approving the plans and specifications for the reconstruction of Cottage Grove Road and adopted RES-19-00591 approving the plans and specifications for the reconstruction of Gammon Road and construction of Phase 1 of the West Towne Path, and
WHEREAS, The WisDOT has advertised and received bids for the Cottage Grove Road and Gammon Road and West Towne Path projects, and
