On October 17, 2018, the Board of Health for Madison and Dane County approved Resolution #2018 - 22 “2019 Public Health Grants and Contracts,” which included the contract renewal for the grant for the Maternal, Infant, and Early Childhood Home Visiting (MIECHV) Program grant from the Wisconsin Department of Children and Families. This grant supports Nurse Family Partnership home visiting services and additional supports for pregnant women and families.
The award estimate in Resolution #2018 - 22 totaled $291,211, and the actual amount of the contract award shared with Public Health-Madison and Dane County on November 6, 2019 totals $337,961. The department requests approval to accept the additional $46,750 to support pregnant women and families across Dane County.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Health for Madison and Dane County, on behalf of Public Health-Madison and Dane County, authorizes the Director of Public Health to enter into an agreement with the Wisconsin Department of Children and Families and to accept funding for the Maternal, Infant and Early Childhood Home Visiting Grant Program.
