Fiscal Note

The proposed resolution authorizes the award of Public Works Contract No. 8441, North Star Dog Park. The total estimated cost of the project is $405,880 to be funded by $387,380 from Parks Division resources and $18,500 from Water Utility resources. The Adopted Parks Division Capital Budget has available funding of $346,185 for Dog Park Improvements project (Munis #17122). The 2020 Parks Division Executive Capital Budget includes $300,000 for Dog Park Improvements which will fund the balance of $41,195 if adopted. Funding is available in the Water Utility Facility Improvements project (Munis #12646) for their portion of the project.

BE IT RESOLVED, that the following low bids for miscellaneous improvements be accepted and that the Mayor and City Clerk be and are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with the low bidder contained herein, subject to the Contractor's compliance with Section 39.02 of the Madison General Ordinances concerning compliance with the Affirmative Action provisions and subject to the Contractor's compliance with Section 33.07 of the Madison General Ordinances regarding Best Value Contracting:

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the funds be encumbered to cover the cost of the projects contained herein.
