Board of Health Resolution #2019-26 Authorization to Enter into Memorandum of Understanding for Lead Hazard Investigator in Columbia County

Public Health-Madison and Dane County (PHMDC) proposes entering into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Columbia County for the provision of Lead Hazard Investigation Services per Wisconsin Statute sec. 254.151. With this MOU, PHMDC agrees to provide for a fee, Environmental Lead Hazard Investigations for Columbia County Health and Human Services, when a child is identified with a venous blood level equal to or greater than 20 micrograms per deciliter or two venous blood lead levels greater than or equal to 15 micrograms per deciliter drawn 90 days apart.
PHMDC will conduct these investigations and share the results with Columbia County and discuss the results with the family and property owner at the time of the investigation. Columbia County will be responsible for issuing public health orders, communication and enforcement regarding the risk assessment.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Health for Madison and Dane County authorizes the Director to enter into Memoranda of Understanding with Columbia County to provide Environmental Lead Hazard investigations until the memorandum of understanding is terminated by one or both of the parties.
