Fiscal Note
The proposed resolution amends the 2019 Adopted Capital Budget to transfer funding between two projects for the Sewer portion of the project. The amendment will increase funding for Blair Street (South) by $30,000 for additional design work associated with project that is scheduled for 2021. The amendment will be funded by decreasing the Sewer portion of Reconstruct Streets. The source of funding for the amendment is Sewer Reserves.

Body
The City is proposing to reconstruct John Nolen Drive & S Blair Street (State Hwy 151) at the intersection of E Wilson St and Williamson St in 2021. The City entered into an agreement with Strand Associates, Inc. for design services (Original: RES-16-00361). A corridor study was performed and accepted by Common Council and geometry approved for the intersection (RES-18-00489). City Engineering & City Traffic Engineering were authorized to proceed with final design for reconstruction of the intersection.

The City Engineer recommends that additional design services be undertaken by Strand Associates, Inc. They are:

1. Prepare sanitary sewer design for replacement of sanitary sewer within the limits of Street Reconstruction Project.
2. Prepare Final Plans, Specifications & Estimate in state format for inclusion with bid documents for the street reconstruction project.


NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the 2019 Sewer Utility Capital Budget is amended to transfer $30,000 from the Reconstruction Streets program (MUNIS 10226) to the Blair Street, South project (MUNIS 11128).
