Title

Establishing a President’s Work Group to adopt applicable any Administrative Procedure Memoranda (APM) that will apply to all members of the City of Madison Common Council.

Body

WHEREAS, the City Attorney has identified City of Madison employee APMs that may apply to members of the Common Council; and,

WHEREAS, the Common Council wishes to review the City’s current APMs to improve processes and define expectations;

NOW THEREFORE IT BE RESOLVED, that the Common Council of the City of Madison establishes a President’s Work Group of three members of the Common Council to review the City’s APMs and identify those that should be applicable to all members of the Common Council; and,

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the work group will review and identify possible procedural, accountability steps; and,

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the following members of the Common Council have been appointed as members of the work group:

 

Alder Barbara Harrington-McKinney, Council Vice-President, District 1

Alder Marsha Rummel, District 6

Alder Keith Furman, District 19

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the work group will be staffed by the Common Council Office and the City Attorney’s Office; and,

BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED, that the Work Group will begin work upon adoption of this resolution with a goal of completing the review and report with recommendations by December 17, 2019 to the Common Council Executive Committee and the Common Council.
