Board of Health Resolution #2019-16 Authorization of Budget Transfer of WIC Infrastructure Grant Funds

Public Health-Madison and Dane County (PHMDC) was previously awarded an Infrastructure Grant from the Wisconsin Department of Health Services on behalf of the Division of Public Health to support the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) program’s efforts to improve the clinic environment. Due to the timeline of spending the grant funding, and the needs of the clinic, it is being proposed to move a portion of the grant funding from purchased services to supplies.
The transfer of funding within the WIC Infrastructure grant will address the following grant objectives:
• Improve the clinic environment and appointment experience for program participants.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Health for Madison and Dane County, on behalf of Public Health-Madison and Dane County, authorizes the transfer of the amounts of the WIC Infrastructure Grant as outlined, for the purpose of improving the clinic environment and appointment experience for program participants.
