CDA Resolution # 4339 - Transfering $2,000 from the Village on Park to the City of Madison in support of promoting community engagement in the South Madison planning process.

RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, on January 18, 2005, the City of Madison Common Council adopted Resolution No. RES-05-00085, which adopted the South Madison Plan and the recommendations contained in the plan; and
WHEREAS, the City of Madison is undertaking an initiative to update and expand the planning recommendations for the community in South Madison; and
WHEREAS, the Village on Park is a commercial property owned by the CDA and located within the proposed planning area; and
WHEREAS, in December 2018, the CDA Board provided guideance that the CDA should align the redevelopment of the Village on Park with the South Madison planning initiative; and
WHEREAS, the City has requested $2,000 from the CDA to support community engagement activities focused on gathering input from underrepresented communities and residents who are less likely to attend traditional engagement activities in the planning area.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the CDA Board authorizes staff to transfer $2,000 from Village on Park to the City of Madison for the purpose of promoting community engagement in the planning process.
