Fiscal Note

The proposed resolution amends the 2019 Capital Budget for Engineering Major Streets to add $118,270 of Dane County Funding to the Mineral Point Road and South Junction Road project. This funding is a component of the cost sharing agreement between the City of Madison and Dane County, and will allow for the final billings and project close-out with the Wisconsin Department of Transportation.

Body

Whereas, The City of Madison, jointly with the Wisconsin Department of Transportation and Dane County reconstructed the Mineral Point Road and Junction Road project, completed in 2014; and

Whereas, Dane County was billed for their proportionate share as defined in the cost sharing agreement; and

Whereas, the existing budget did not encompass the entire municipal share for Dane County; and

Whereas, this budget amendment will increase the budgeted amount for income from other municipalities to allow for paying DOT for costs not previously billed and for closing out the project;

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the 2019 Engineering Major Streets Capital Budget is amended to add $118,270 of Dane County Funding to the Mineral Point Road and South Junction Road project.
