I hereby submit, for your consideration and approval, the following resident committee appointments.
*2/3 vote required for confirmation of non-city residents.
Pursuant to Sec. 3.30(2) of the Madison General Ordinances, "...provision shall not apply to a member of or candidate for appointment to a City of Madison board, committee or commission where, in the judgement of the mayor and two-thirds (2/3) of the Common Council, the best interests of the city will be served by the appointment of a non-resident member who is particularly well qualified by reasons of education, background, and experience with Madison business concerns or other Madison-based employers and the Mayor specifies fully to the Common Council the reasons why he or she is recommending such appointment."

LINDA J. KETCHAM (3rd A.D.) - reappoint to a three-year term to the position of Adult City Resident. First appointed 4-17-2012.

JULI AULIK (10th A.D.) - appoint to the position of Member. Ms. Aulik is the Community Relations Director for UW Health.

*ROBIN L. SERENO, Maple Bluff - appoint to the position of Member. Ms. Sereno is the Director of Housing with the Tenant Resource Center.
Rationale: The Complete Count Committee intends to bring together a broad group of leaders that represent diverse populations throughout our city to ensure that everyone in Madison is counted in the 2020 Census. As Director of Housing for the Tenant Resource Center and in her work with Briarpatch Youth Services and the Homeless Services Consortium Board, Ms. Sereno brings significant experience and expertise in reaching out to the homeless population in Madison.
University of Wisconsin-Madison appointment:
GREG BUMP (12th A.D.) - appoint to the position of University of Wisconsin-Madison Chancellor Designee Alternate. Mr. Bump is a Senior University Relations Specialist in University Communications.
Madison Metropolitan School District Superintendent appointments:
ANDREW STATZ (6th A.D.) - appoint to the position of Madison Metropolitan School District (MMSD) Superintendent Designee. Mr. Statz is the Executive Director of Accountability.

LIZ MERFELD, Monona - appoint to the position of Madison Metropolitan School District (MMSD) Superintendent Designee Alternate. Ms. Merfeld is the Communications Coordinator with the Madison Metropolitan School District's Communications Department.
