Vilas Park Master Plan Update

MSA Professional Services, Inc. was selected through a competitive RFP process to lead the Vilas Park Master Plan design and public engagement process. MSA, working in conjunction with Urban Assets will be receiving public input and vetting design proposals through many outlets including large-scale public input meetings, a session focused on youth engagement led by Michael Ford, on-site sessions with under-respresented groups identified through the RESJI process, a group comprised of adjacent landowners, a group representing neighborhood interests and through an interagency staff team including representation from Planning, Traffic Engineering, Engineering and Parks. Staff anticipate that the planning process will begin in May with a kick-off meeting with the consultants and be completed in October 2020.
