The Racial Equity Social Justice Initiative (RESJI) analysis was used to evaluate the street use permitting process and events in Madison. The public input process and development of the Downtown Zone Policy in response to issues and concerns raised regarding the number and type of events on the isthmus in Madison will be presented.

"Phase 2” of the RESJI analysis looked at how best to deal with 1^st Amendment activities and looked at how the street use event permitting process can be made more accessible and equitable.
