Request from Friends of Olin Turville (FOOT) for use of Olin Pavilion for up to 20 program reservations and one community event per year under terms of a fee modification.

 

Body

Friends of Olin Turville (FOOT) was established to preserve and enhance the Olin Park and Turville Point Conservation Park through stewardship, activities, education and advocacy. For almost ten years, FOOT and Madison Parks have partnered to bring positive activities to these two parks.

 

Madison Parks provides reservation space to FOOT at the Olin Pavilion approximately once per week, at a modified fee rate. Over the years, FOOT has been a good partner and a respectful user of the Olin Pavilion and the parks. FOOT activities occur during traditionally less desirable reservation times so as not to displace other reservations. In February 2018, the Board of Park Commissioners (BPC) adopted a Fee Modification Policy. Under this policy, the modification of fees for user groups needs to be documented in a fee modification and reported to the BPC annually.

 

Using 2019 Standard Rates for comparison:

 

20 Olin Weekday Half Day Shelter Reservations X $235 = $4,700
