The proposed resolution amends the 2019 Adopted Budget to appropriate $31,455.30 from the Insurance Fund to the Sewer & Stormwater Utilities for a replacement vehicle. The proceeds will be evenly split between the utility funds.

Amending the 2019 Sewer Utility and Stormwater Utility Operating Budgets for coverage from the Insurance Fund and authorizing the replacement of vehicle destroyed in a vehicular accident.
Body
WHEREAS, in January 2019, a City of Madison Engineering Division vehicle (ID# 2615 - 2016 Ford Transit) was involved in a vehicular accident resulting in it being deemed a total loss; and
WHEREAS, the City of Madison’s Risk Manager has received $31,445.30 from State Farm to cover the City’s loss on behalf of its insured; and
WHEREAS, the vehicle was originally purchased with Stormwater Utility and Sewer Utility funds,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that $31,445.30 be transferred from the Insurance Fund to the Sewer Utility and Stormwater Utility 2019 operating budget; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the 2019 Sewer Utility and Stormwater Utility Operating Budget be amended by the amount of the insurance proceeds for the purchase of a replacement vehicle as follows:
